The Requirements of the Multimedia Communication on Transport Layer of Network

本文从网络通信协议的运输层角度,对多媒体通信在运输层上的需求进行了分析与探讨,提出了多媒体通信协议中运输层应具有的新特性。

We present in this paper a brief overview of Transport Layer of network protocols,which are used for multimedia transmissions. Then we discuss the requirements of the multimedia communication on Transport layer and point out some new features that need to be considered in this layer to support multimedia transmissions.
