摘要
口译是一门综合性、边缘性很强的学科。口译员的的语言功底、口头表达能力、逻辑思维能力、知识面等方面的基本素质决定了其口译的效果。本文以朱镕基总理的中外记者招待会现场口译员的若干译语为例 。
The study of oral interpretation is a comprehensive borderline subject. An interpreter's language expertise, verbal expressiveness, power of reasoning and scope of knowledge jointly determine the quality of his/her interpretation. With illustrations of English versions of Premier Zhu Rongji's certain answers at his press conference, this essay probes into the necessity and importance of attaining the above mentioned techniques in interpretation.
