医疗需求强度（ＭＤＩ）是用以考查疾病对卫生资源的需求力度。它由对疾病个案危重程度（ＭＩＳ）的“点”测量，发展到用病例组合指数（ＣＭＩ）方法对医疗机构的“平面”测量；本文建立了按病种的医疗需求强度指数（ＭＤＩＩ）方法，从垂直强度与水平强度二个方向对医疗需求强度进行“立体”测量。提出了按医疗需求强度等级配置卫生资源的政策性建议，为宏观优化卫生资源配置，提高卫生资源的利用效率提供方法学依据。

Medical Demand Intensity(MDI) is put forward to examine the needing extent of health resources to disease. It is from the 'point' measurement of illness seventy(MIS) to the 'plane' measurement of the case mixed index(CMI), and the 'stereo 'measurement of medical demand intensity idex(MDII) is established first in this article,which will help us observe the needing extent of health resources from 2 respects: vertical intensity and horizontal intensity. The policy suggestion of allocating resources based on the MDI is put forward,which give the scientific basis for resources allocation and also for the efficiency of using resources in hospitals.
