明清时期扬州盐商与封建政府关系

The Relation between Salt Traders and Feudal Government of Yangzhou in the Ming and Qing Dynasties

本文从盐赋是封建国家重要财政收入,明清封建政府设立重重机构征收盐课入手,论述了各级盐务官员视扬州盐商为可啖之物,肆意婪索刻剥,贪墨狼藉。扬州盐商为了自身经济与政治利益,与各级盐务官员相互交结,狼狈为奸。他们相互为用,上瞒皇上及中央户部,侵吞了大量国家财产。扬州盐商为了巩固自身的地位,又打起了“捐输报效”的旗号,以求取得皇上的恩宠和耀眼光环。这种恶性的循环,造成了扬州盐商致命的祸根。

Salt profit was one of great incomes of the country. In Ming and Qing Dynasties,salt official and salt traders colluded with each other. Much salt profit was embezzled and it was a root of the trouble to Yang zhou salt traders.
