唐宋茶叶广告发展的原因主要有 :茶叶生产繁荣 ,茶叶贸易发达 ;区域乃至全国茶叶市场出现 ;茶商势力兴起 ,市场竞争加剧。茶叶广告在原有基础上出现了许多新的形式。茶肆开始取名 ,注意利用悬物广告、名人广告 ;悬挂灯笼 ,夜间点烛放亮 ,起招牌广告和悬帜广告的作用 ;广泛使用招牌 ,注明店名从业性质 ,作为招牌广告 ;注重门面修饰 ,努力创意 ;利用音响、说书手段 ,增设娱乐项目。唐宋茶叶广告的发展促进了茶叶贸易的开展。
