阐述了中学教师继续教育的起源、发展及其特点。中学教师继续教育是在终身教育思想指导下,对各级各类学历达标后的中学在职教师所进行的更新知识结构、拓宽知识面、发展个性以及提高教育教学能力的高层次、全员性的专业培训。它具有和一般成人学历教育不相同的特点。

This paper analyzes the origin , development and characteristic of continuous education for middle school teachers. Based on the life-long learning, the continuous education makes the middle school teachers renew their knowledge , widen their horizon ,develop their personality as well as improve their teaching ability after they finish college . It is different from common adult-college education.
