A Study on Speed Characteristics of Traffic Stream in Express Roads

分析了快速路车速的总体分布特性和不同流量下的车速特性 ,结果证明 ,车速的总体并不像有些文献所描述的那样服从正态分布或对数正态分布。另外 ,不同流量下的车速服从不同的分布。车速的离散对通行能力有很大的影响 。

The general distribution characteristics of speed in express roads and speed characteristics under different volume are analyzed. The results indicate that the whole speed distribution doesnt obey normal distribution or lognormal distribution, but the speed under different volumes obeys different distributions. On the analysis of field data, it is concluded that the scattering of speed makes a difference in capacity.
