This paper gives an outline of the high strength nodular iron piston ring material used on automobile engines both domestically and abroad and considers that nodular iron piston ring material is the key material in solving the quality problem of the rupture of the piston ring when it gets thiner, and will result in reducing frictional work and eliminating the high amplitude vibration of the piston ring.
