摘要
提出了面向绘制加速的多分辨率几何压缩的概念,以及一种基于顶点排序和Haar小波思想的实现方法.实验结果表明,该方法具有较高的几何压缩效率,而且支持三维几何模型的递进传输和多分辨率表示,同时由于在模型的压缩编码中考虑了网格的绘制顺序,它可以成倍地提高三维几何模型在客户端的绘制速度.
This paper proposes the concept of multi-resolution geometry compression for accelerating rendering speed, and a detailed implement method based on the ideas of vertices sequence and Haar wavelet. The experimental results show that our method archives good compression performance, and supports progressive transmission and multi-resolution represent of 3D mesh, at the same time, it can accelerate rendering speed of mesh by a factor of up to 3 because it has contained some rendering sequence related information in mesh code.
