Copper methanesulfonate,copper phenylsulfonate,copper o-toluenesulfonate and copper p-toluenesulfonate were perpared and characterized by TG,FTIR and ()~1H NMR.They all exhibit excellent catalytic activities in the esterification of isopropanol with chloroacetic acid.The yields of isoproyl chloroacetate were up to 90.0%,which was higher than that of reactions catalyzed by some other Lewis acids.They all exhibit excellent reusabilities during the continual 8 recycling times.
