The constructional features and working principles of the CARTER YF4 Type carburetor equipped on Cherokee Jeep engine are introduced in this paper. Meanwhile the electrical heating actuator and vacuum actuator for automatic choke,as well as the auxiliaries,such as fast idling and throttle stopper are described in detail. Finally the adjustment of the carburetor in use is mentioned as well.
