Growth and Morphology Characters of Elymus canadensis, Elymus sibiricus and Their Hybrid

研究加拿大披碱草与老芒麦及其杂种的生育时期、生长繁殖特性、穗部形态及育性特征。研究结果表明 :加拿大披碱草比老芒麦生育期晚 30 d左右 ,繁殖能力较弱 ,二者在形态学上有较大差异 ;其 F1 代在生长和无性繁殖特性上表现出杂种优势 ,而育性极为衰退 。

Elymus canadensis and Elymus sibiricus are two species that distribute in different regions. A study of their growth period, multiplication, spike morphology and fertility show that E.canadensis'growth period comes about 30 days behind E.sibiricus, with weaker fertility and obvious morphological differences. The hybrid F_1, formed by wide cross between the two species, boasts heterosis, though sterility is its typical character, while the other characteristics are similar to the parent species.
