The roll-on/roll-off ship named STENA-Runner built by Dalian Shipyard for Swedish STENA Company is an advanced modernized ship in the world. One of its outstanding fe atures is that it incorporates an advanced integrated monitor and alarm system. The system lays a foundation for the ship to be manipulated by a single person. The design philosophy which makes the system successful is anal yzed with stress. It is hoped the system be a good reference for designers of the system of this kind.
