Grammatical Features of the Verb in the Verb-copying Sentence

重动句动词具有如下语法特征:V1不能带指示时间信息的语法标记,是非限定动词,V2能带指示时间信息的语法标记,是限定动词,句子的语义重心应该是 VP2。

This paper discusses the grammaticalfeatures of verb in the verb-copying sentence. It considers that V1 is a non-finite verb for it cannot carry the grammatical markers to indicate the time, whereas V2 can carry the markers and therefore falls into the category of finite verbs. Hereby the semantic core of a sentence should be VP2.
