周扬是中国共产党文艺战线长达50年的领导人,他文艺生涯的前期为时代"左"倾思潮所胁裹,难免带有历史和时代的烙印。晚年复出的周扬走出了"左"的思想樊篱,找回了自我,复归了个性,重领文坛风骚,在思想界和文艺界掀起了"第三次思想解放运动",实现了人的重新发现和马克思主义的重新发现。晚年周扬是他人生的辉煌。

Zhou Yang was the leader for more than 50 years in the literature and art front of the Chinese Communist Party.In his early time of his leading position his ideas on literature and art were influenced by the left-deviationist and his then thinking was painted historical and time marks.In his late years of life,he renewed his ideas and took the place of literature and art from the left fence.He led the third emancipation movement of thinking in literature and art circles.The renewal discovery of personality and Marxism for him had become true.Zhou Yang reached the acme of his life in his later years.
