摘要
英语从古到今一直都在变化着,特别是在词汇方面。文章从若干方面探讨了英语语言的发展历史、发展途径及词汇发展的原因,探讨了英语词汇的变化趋势,以期对从事语言研究人员有一定的启示。
Language is always changing, especially English. English has undergone many changes since the Old English period, especially in the field of vocabulary. There are different characteristics for vocabulary in different periods. This paper presents the development of English vocabulary from several aspects: history, approach, reasons and trend in the future. It will be helpful to English teachers and professional people in the teaching and research.
