A Three-fold Reconstruction: the Second Revolution and Revival of Chinese Modern Poetry

科学地总结中国新诗诞生以来的经验和考察新诗的现状就会发现,中国现代诗学正面临三大前沿问题:实现"精神大解放"以后的诗歌精神重建、实现"诗体大解放"以后的诗体重建和在现代科技条件下的诗歌传播方式重建。新诗面临二次革命,以迎接新的复兴。三大前沿问题就是二次革命的内容,直接关系到新诗的兴衰。

If we systematically review the experience of Chinese Modern Poetry since its inception and examine its current status, we will see that the Chinese Modern Poetics is facing three frontier issues: the reconstruction of poetic spirit after the 'great spiritual liberalization', the reconstruction of poetic form after the 'great liberalization of poetic form', and reconstruction of the poetic communications in light of the modern science and technology. The Chinese Modern Poetry is facing a second revolution in order to usher in a new revival. The three frontier issues are exactly what this second revolution is about and they are directly related to whether the Chinese Modern Poetry could prosper.
