Bill Acceptor Online Upgrade System Based on B/S

This paper issues the thought to upgrade bill acceptors' software online through a Web browser, and illustrates the architecture and implementation of the Bill Acceptor Online Upgrade System Based on B/S. The system uses the method of embedding ActiveX controls in a Web page to realize serial port access and persistent real-time communication between client and server, and also adopts the technology of ADO database access and multithread programming. The system provides an upgrade method which is convenient in operation, cheap in upgrading, safe and easy in maintenance for bill acceptor and other electronic equipment.
