A radical change has taken place in the mode of management of enterprises due to the radical shift from planned economy to market economy. The current market competition brought about along with the trend of economic globalization is posing more stringent challenge to enterprises. In order to put into practice the spirit of the '3 Representations' proposed by president Jiang and to promote the development of productivity, Party membership must grasp the advanced scientific knowledge. There is an urgent need for them to greatly improve their quality, so as to shoulder the heavy task of enabling the enterprises to undergo further reform and development under the new situation.
