Brief Report on Excavation of Ash Pits of Erlitou Culture at Falong Wangshugang Site, Xiangyang, Hubei Province

本次发掘的二里头文化灰坑仅两座,出土遗物具有比较典型的二里头文化风格。它的发掘不仅填补了汉水中游河谷地区二里头文化的空白,而且将典型二里头文化的统治区域推进到了汉水以南。

Two ash pits of the Erlitou culture were excavated in 1997. Containing artifacts present distinctive features of the Erlitou cultural style. This excavation not only reveals the Erlitou culture in the middle range of Han river, but also suggests that the Erlitou culture had extended over the south of Han River.
