本文综述了近百年来化学工业发展和科技进步概况，以及化学工程学科的形成和发展历程。探索建立现代化学工程学科新体系，以适应当代化工科技迅猛发展的需要。
The development and progress of chemical industry and the forming course of chernicalengineering in the past century are summed up. A new system for modern chemical engineering shouldbe built up so as to meet the need of rapid development of science and technology of chemical industry.
