This paper discusses the applicability of weak acid cation exchange technology to the makeup water treatment of circulating cooling water system in large-capacity coal-fired power plants and its existing problems and future development as well. A new patented product-a dual flow weak acid cation exchanger is introduced with emphasis on application and advantages in technical and economic properties.
