氧化镁是双基固体推进剂的燃烧催化剂。但并不是任何一种MgO都有燃烧催化作用,而与MgO的来源、制备条件等密切相关。只有在一定条件下由菱镁矿煅烧的MgO对双基固体推进剂才有催化燃烧作用,但研究其中的原因却很少。在固体推进剂的燃烧催化中,研究者很少重视象MgO,CuO,Cr_O_3这类金属氧化物的表面性质,而实践证明这些氧化物的表面性质对燃烧催化作用确有重要影响。
The catalytic-action of several kinds of MgO for the combustion of nitrocellulose was studied. It was found that the magnesite calcined at 700℃ for 5 hours behaved evidently to favour the combustion of nitre-cellulose. Active MgO lost its activity for nitrocellulose combustion when it was calcined again. The larger the specific surface area of calcined MgO is,the higher the catalytic activity will be. The acidic center responsible for the breaking of O-NO2 bond and thus favourable to the combustion of nitrocellulose may be formed by the action of MgO with its impurities SO2, A12O3, etc.
