新疆歌剧从20世纪30年代产生之后,经过70年的发展,已经成为最具影响力的剧种之一。本文在采访有关人士和查阅史料基础上,对新疆各民族不同时期的歌剧创作和演出做了如实描述,介绍代表性剧目的内容、音乐和表演的特色,介绍创作、演出歌剧的主要艺术表演团体和主要创作人员,探讨新疆民族歌剧的特点和发展规律。

After Xinjiang opera produced in 1930s, through 70 years development, it has become one of the most influential operas. On the basis of interviewing some people and researching some historic data, the article describes the creative work and performance of opera in different period in Xinjiang . It introduces the content of representative play and characteristics of music and performance . It introduces the performance group and creators and studies the characteristics and development regulation of ethnic opera in Xinjiang.
