The paper employs deposits, credits, profits, CR n and HHI to analyze the characteristic of Xi’an banking market, drawing the co nclusion that there is high monopoly in Xi’an banking market, namely, state—ow ned banks are oligopoly, and this causes low efficiency and weak mobility. There fore, it is necessary and imperative to set up a fair market environment, introd uce competition mechanism and improve efficiency.
