This paper decides the best one of all blasting schemes by fuzzy- analytic hierarchy process with the purpose of reducing the total blasting cost for an engineering example, in combination with the engineering example, gives the basic principle and calculation procedures of this method. For the engineering example, the result obtained by use of fuzzy- analytic hierarchy process is fairly consistent with one obtained by use of analytic hierarchy process. The fuzzy- analytic hierarchy process is simple in calculation, and can expresses in numerical value the advantages and disadvantages of all blasting schemes for the optimization of blasting schemes, so it is a practical optimization method.
