摘要
目前的英语教学强调英语交际能力的培养 ,阅读课这种传统的课程设置由于缺乏功能性和时效性而逐渐失去了在英语教学中的主导地位。这是一个应该引起英语教学者高度重视的问题。本文着重探讨传统英语阅读教学的不足 ,并提出如何提高英语阅读课功能性和时效性的几点建议。
The mainstream English teaching methodology aims at fostering the learners’ communicative skills. Due to the lack of functionality and up-to-date-ness, English reading courses are losing their dominant role in the leaning process. In this article, the author explores the weakness of English reading courses in improving the learners' communicative skills and puts forword some suggestions on how to improve the functionality and up-to-date-ness of English reading courses.
