Design of communication and control program of hot-switchable dual-server systems

可热切换的双机系统通常由两台服务器与一台磁盘阵列组成,控制程序多由服务器制造商提供,也有一些公司提供商品化的控制程序。但在实际中存在不需要或不适合使用磁盘阵列的情况,可以将程序与数据存放在两台服务器的本机硬盘上,从而降低系统的造价,但这时就不能使用商品化的控制程序,而采用双机通讯与控制程序的设计。

Hot-switchable dual-server system is often composed of two servers and a disk array. The control program is normally provided by the server manufacturer. Some companies also provide commercial software for the purpose. There are some applications, where the disk array is not necessary or not applicable, and programs and data can be stored in local hard disks of both servers. This reduces the cost of the system remarkably. The question is that there is no commercial control program for systems without a disk array. The design of the communication and control programs for such systems are presented.
