Objective Introducing the extracorporeal magnetic innervation(ExMI) which is truly innovative technology that can treat female urinary incontinence based on this non-invasive therapy. It's easily operated by either urologics or urogynecology. Methods ExMI instrument was used to treated 111 patients with urinary Incontinence (SUI) and urge urinary incontinence (UUI) in this study. Results Fourty-Seven patients had following-up information for at least 6 months. Thirteen patients were cured (28%). The Symptom improving rate was 53%(28/47) in this study. There was about 40% response rate for UUI(4/10). Conclusions In comparison to other conservative treatments, the outcome of ExMI treatment of urinary incontinence is more desirable. In addition, ExMI is non-invasive, simple and easy to be performed by either urologists or urogynecologists. The compliance of patients can be enhanced. ExMI is a novel promising treatment of female urinary incontinence.
