Mistreatment of Facial Flush and Labial Sore

对于上唇红肿溃烂,伴面部烘热数月的患者,初用温阳化饮、清热除湿法有效但效差,改用清热解毒、引热下行无效,后用滋阴潜阳、引火归元效佳。

A patient with sore and ulcer on upper lip and facial flush for 4 months was first treated by warming yang and transforming fluid, clearing heat and resolving dampness, but with little effectiveness; he was then treated in vain by clearing heat and relieving toxin and downbearing heat; finally he was cured by enriching yin and suppressing yang and downbearing fire to its origin.
