Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) is a peptide that is synthesized and released predominantly from ventricular myocardium in response to myocardial ischemia,necrosis,lesion,myocyte stretch.Many researches have demonstrated that plasma BNP is a marker which plays an important role in the diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of heart failure and myocardial hypertrophy.
