针对经济快速增长、城市扩张迅速的形势,规划应积极探索相适应的物质环境规划方法,为经济发展和人口居住提供载体.新城作为国外郊区化最基本的物质形态,它的发展理念与经验为国内快速发展背景下的城市扩张模式提供了借鉴.同时,结合浙江省诸暨市街亭新城的规划实例,通过发展背景的分析判断,对当前快速多变下的城市郊区化模式进行探索,并从郊区密度、功能混合、形态规模和结构重组4个方面分析了郊区新城的空间发展模式.最后根据街亭实际,提出中等城市郊区新城规划模式.

The method of physical environmental planning should be actively explored to adapt people to the quick economic development and the fast city expanding and support for economic growth and human inhabitation should been provided as well. Building a new town is the most basic for the suburbanization abroad and its notion of development and experience can benefit us a lot in setting up the model for the fast city expanding. Jieting, a new town situated in the suburbs of Zhuji City, is taken as an example and the model of the suburbanization in very changeable conditions has been discussed by the means of analyzing its development background. Furthermore, the method of new town's spatial expansion is analyzed in such aspects as suburb density, function mixed, shape-scale, structural reorganization. At last, the planning model of a new town in the suburbs of medium-sized cities is put forward.
