摘要
The animal bones discovered on the Xiaobalong site come from house-foundations, ash-pits and tombs. They cover at least nine species. Among them the minimum individuals of mammals total 28, of which 15 belong to roe deer, nine to domestic pigs, two to red deer, one to a horse, and one to a dog. On the bones are traces of animals' biting and man's chopping and working. Analysis shows that hunting accounted for certain proportion in the economic activity, and that the site was left from a settlement. It is interesting that the older is the funeral pig, the more are the grave goods. The then natural environments of the site were similar to those at the present.
