本文将模糊数学方法应用到城市交通系统，对城市交通控制系统实施模糊控制，并改进了Ｐａｐｐｉｓ等人的控制方法，仿真结果表明模糊数学能成功地应用到交通控制系统，并比传统的控制方法有效．

Abstract This paper applies fuzzy sets to a urban traffic system, and applies fuzzy control method to the urban traffic system, and makes an improvement in Pappis and Mamdani's control method. Computer simulations show that fuzzy sets can be applied to traffic control systems successfully and the method this paper proposed is more valid than traditional control methods.
