Policy of Settling Down for Peasants Losing Land during Urbanization——The New Century Shopping Mall in Taizhou

中国农民安置问题越来越成为束缚城市发展的症结,而这一问题又往往被城市规划与建筑设计所忽视。本文借助浙江台州市一个新城建设的实际案例,通过研究当地生活环境以及社会背景,在规划与建筑设计中着力探讨适合当地习惯的居住生活空间;根据当地民营经济特点,创造“以商代农”的生存条件,以积极的态度解决城市进程化中的城乡矛盾。

Settlement for domestic peasants is becominga crux, which hinders the urban development day by day. Itis usually neglected in urban planning and architecturaldesign. This is a living example of new urban constructionin Taizhou of Zhijiang. The designer makes an effort to ap-proach the habitation space fitting for local way of life bystudying local surroundings and social background in plan-ning and design. Based on the characteristics of local pri-vate economy, replacing farming with business is a wayto resolve contradiction between city and countryside dur-ing urbanization.
