The mechanism of using mineral fiber in papermaking in place of plant fibers is discussed. Trialsin different papermaking industries testify that mineral fiber treated by surface complex technology can replace plant fibers in papermaking with good paper property, less environ- ment pollution and lessmaterial cost with original technology and that massive dosage of mineral fibercan reduce paper bnlknessand strength. The paperalso provides a prospect of mineral fibre in papermaking.
