Mass media technology and development perceived by individuals--Comment on and analysis ofMcluhan' s related thought

麦克卢汉通过对媒介与个体感知、空间与时间、内爆、地球村等问题的分析,表明了传播媒介在现代性的发展中所发挥的中心作用。从某种角度说,他对媒介发展与个体感知的嬗变之间所存在的历史性关系的说明,在一定程度上证明了信息方式对现代主体构成的参与。麦克卢汉的有关思想阐述了大众传媒技术的发展对个体感官审美体验所产生的影响,从而使不同的媒介方式会对个体的感知以及审美体验产生不同的影响。

Mcluhan has elucidated the key role played by mass media in the development of modernity through analyses of the relations between media and individual sensibility as well as the concepts of time and space, implosion and global village. To a certain extent, his statement elucidates the involvement of media modes in the construction of modern subjects. This thesis is to analyze the ways how the development of media technology affects the individual aesthetic experience by virtue of Mcluhan' s relative analysis. It concludes that different media may have various impacts on individual aesthetic and perceptive experience.
