本文对苏州古城的传统街巷空间和古城整体空间的构成进行了分析，并总结其特点，提出应在苏州古城更新改造过程中注意保留和发扬传统的空间构成手法，从根本上更好地保护古城风貌。

The article analyses the spatial structure of the traditional lanes and the whole area in ancient Suzhou city, and proposes to pay more attention to reserve and carry on the traditional spatial structure to protect the views of the old city in its regeneration.
