Future Development of Andrology in China

目的: 展望我国 21世纪男科学,为未来男科学的发展指明方向。 方法: 根据我国男科学的现状及其与发达国家的差距和现代医学发展趋势,推测我国男科学未来的发展方向。 结果: 在新世纪,我国男科学将在揭示男性生殖奥秘、建立系统流行病学资料、突破ED基础与临床研究的难关、防止性传播疾病及发挥祖国传统医学优势促进男科学的发展等方面取得突破。 结论: 通过我国男科学工作者的共同努力和合作,到 2020年,我国的男科学事业必将达到世界先进水平。

Objective: To forecast the prospects of andrology in China in the 21st century and to point out the new directions of andrological development. Methods: Speculations were made about the future development of andrology in China in the light of the present status of andrology in China, the gap between China and the developed countries in this field, and the trend of modern medicine. Results: In the new century, Chinese andrologists will make various breakthroughs in revealing male reproduction secrets, establishing system epidemic data on male diseases, resolving key problems in basic and clinical researches on ED, preventing sexually transmitted diseases, and advancing andrology by taking advantage of the Traditional Chinese Medicine. Conclusion: By the year 2020, the Chinese andrological cause will come up to the advanced level in the world through sustained efforts and cooperation of all Chinese andrologists.
