虽然同一概念在不同语言中有不同的表达形式 ,但各民族在表达某种特定的情感意义时有其约定俗成的语言形式。因此 ,形义之间有一定的联系。英语的语音、语调 ,尤其是音素 。

Though different languages express the same concept with various sounds,there exists a certain form accepted among a nation to show a particular feeling.Thus,we can perceive the relationship between the form and meaning.And we can see clearly some “sound symbolism'in English when we have a glimpse at its intonation,pronunciation,and especially phoneme.
