Methanesulfonamide was a very important intermediate in the synthesis of fine chemicals.This paper introduced systematically the recent progress in the synthesis of methanesulfonamide.The synthesis methods were classified and summarized and the influences of the solvents and other factors on the preparation of methanesulfonamide were investigated too.
