Based on feminist criticism, this paper analyzes Women in Love from the aspects of modern women's dilemma and happiness and points out that this novel, as the product of D.H. Lawrence's in a transitional phase from a supporter of equal rights to an advocator of Phallus centrism, attempts to establish a model of happy marriage in modern times on the basis of women's 'otherness' or submissiveness.
