Ergative and Middle Constructions in German

德语中的作格结构和中间结构是相似近似、但又是截然不同的两种结构。以乔姆斯基生成语法的管辖和约束论为理论框架,对这两种结构的述谓动词、结构组成、描述功能以及鉴别这种结构的方法进行了对比分析和研究,指出了由这两种结构的自然属性所决定的各自的句法和语义的特征及鉴别的方法。

This paper is an intra-linguistic comparison of the ergative and middle constructions in German within the framework of Government-Binding(GB). Besides some morph syntactic differences these two constructions in German have nearly identical surface appearance. The paper attempts to describe and analyze the typical syntactic, semantic properties and grammatical functions of these two constructions by comparing their predicative verbs, structures, formations and descriptive functions.
