A Contrastive Analysis of Sentence Patterns Among Chinese, Japanese and English

研究不同语言的语法规则,通过对比和分析找出其共同规律,是对比语言学的基本研究方法,也是由个别文法研究向普遍文法研究深化的必经途径。SOV型的日语与SVO型的中、英文之间必定存在着诸多的共性,但相互间更多见的却是个性特征。无论SOV型语言还是SVO型语言,表示过程中的句子成分虽然相同,但语序构建规则却各异,呈现出各自的结构特征和排列顺序。

The essential study method of contrastive linguistics is to study the different grammatical rules of different languages and discover their common rule by means of contrast and analysis, which is also a necessary method from particular grammatical study to universal grammatical study. Although the SOV sentence pattern in Japanese and the SVO sentence pattern in Chinese and English have much in common, what is more striking is the individual linguistic features in these different languages. In SOV and SVO sentence patterns, the members of sentence are the same, but the construction of word order is not, displaying different structural features and sequence of words.
