Since the birth of the television, it has been influencing our society. And the part it has been playing is unique. But how, at the present, does the television give such influence? And does it deserve to give such influence? This essay, based on the general properties of the television as a cultural technology, analyses the features of the Chinese culture of television and foretells the tendencies of its development.
