MAPGIS software of the Geographic Information System has been widely applied to the geological field. This paper briefly describes the structure and function of ASCⅡ code conversion system software of MAPGIS based on ASCⅡ code files of MAPGIS and the application of this software to geophysical and geochemical fields.
