After China's entry into WTO, libraries are faced with new opportunities and challenges. The improvement of librarians' qualities is a basic condition for the sustainable development of libraries in this new situation. Therefore, to meet the requirements of the development and libraries, librarians should first identify their disadvantages, renew their conceptions, and make positive efforts to improving their political qualities, professional qualities, and cultural qualities.
