Starting from the characteristics of oral English, teaching oral English, this paper analyzes the features, types and functions of teaching oral English, and points out that teaching oral English play a very important role in providing the information of knowledge, developing the students' intelligence, organizing the classroom activities and improving the quality of teachers.
