Social stratification has been existing ever since the ancient times as an intrinsic phenomenon. The Chinese society is experiencing comprehensive and profound changes during which there occur the redistribution of social resources and readjustment of interest structure. These changes play a role that is at the same time positive and negative. Adjustment to our policies should be made to deal with the relative problems toward the goal of a gradually more reasonable social stratification.
