"The National Team of the Marine Culture" Should Be Built with the Development of Urban Culture in Qingdao

青岛市在努力率先基本实现现代化的进程中,提出建设现代文化名城和区域文化中心的目标,根据青岛市的历史和现实,应当建设以海洋文化为特色的城市文化。21世纪是海洋世纪,我国有必要建设代表国家水平的"海洋文化国家队"。在海洋科技方面,青岛市已经是"国家队",应当依据海洋事业的传统和实力,把建设"海洋文化国家队"当作重要任务。

Qingdao government proposes building famous modern cultural city and regional cultural center in the course of realizing modernization. According to the history and reality of Qingdao, urban culture with the characteristic of ocean should be built. The 21~st century is a marine century and it is necessary for our country to build 'The National Team of the Marine Culture'. Since'The National Team of Marine Science and Technology' has been built in Qingdao so far, we should take building 'The National Team of the Marine Culture' as an important task based on the tradition and strength of the marine cause.
